The specifics.
01What's covered
We cover problems caused by how a piece was made — not by how it's used. This includes:
- Faults in the materials or how the piece was made
- Pieces that lose their shape or break under normal use
- Hardware that fails under normal use
- Finish faults that affect how the piece works
- Seams that come apart on upholstered pieces
Coverage starts from your delivery date and stays with the original buyer.
02Warranty period by material
03What's not covered
These are not covered:
- Wear and tear — slow fading, ageing, or signs of regular use
- Misuse — damage from rough handling or too much weight
- Weather and humidity — damage from heat, sun, or damp air
- Accidents — spills, burns, cuts, or knocks
- Wrong cleaning — damage from using the wrong products or methods
- Changes — repairs or alterations we did not approve
- Business use — pieces used in offices, cafés, rentals, or hotels
- Natural variations — small differences in wood grain, colour, or finish
- Third-party assembly or installation — any damage from self-assembly or installation by contractors, handymen, renovators, or anyone other than The Living Mode's appointed team. This includes mirrors mounted by others and pieces damaged during installation.
For wear, accidents, or misuse, we're still glad to help where we can — with paid repairs, spare parts, or care advice.
